Since taking over the business in 2005, owner Matt Taylor and the team have been passionate about helping customers discover their next great read and find the perfect gift.
Our commitment to bookselling has been recognised nationally. We were previously named the Top Independent Bookshop in the Wales & Midlands region and have twice been shortlisted in the Top 5 for the UK Gardners Independent Bookseller of the Year Award.

Bringing authors and readers together is a huge part of what we do. Every year we organise around 80 author events across Chepstow and Monmouthshire, from intimate in-store signings to larger theatre and community events, as well as inspiring school visits. Over the years we've welcomed an incredible range of bestselling authors and personalities, including Sir David Attenborough, Nigella Lawson, Sir Michael Parkinson, Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall, Sir Ranulph Fiennes, Shirley Williams, Joseph Delaney and Cathy Cassidy.
