The Danish master storyteller gave us such timeless classics as 'The Little Mermaid', 'The Ugly Duckling', and 'Thumbelina' - all of which are included here. While not every story has a happy ending, Andersen's telling of the tale is wonderfully engaging and often comes with a useful moral at the end, such as the belief that a good child helps the little mermaid while a naughty one brings her sorrow.
